Edith Loza es Miss Latina Wine Country 2016
Miss Latina Wine Country 2016 tiene ganadora. Su nombre es Edith Loza. Es originaria de Tepatitlán, Jalisco, México. Y fue coronada en el salón de eventos del Graton Casino en Rohnert Park este domingo.
Además de su belleza física y una presencia significativa en la pasarela con 'vestido de fantasía', en traje de baño y el clásico vestido de gala, quizá Edith Loza obtuvo la corona de reina por su abierta respuesta a la pregunta que le hicieron los organizadores sobre sus preocupaciones respecto a la situación de los inmigrantes indocumentados en Estados Unidos.
"Esta pregunta me toca el corazón porque más de la mitad de mi familia es indocumentada [...] Los latinos somos los más trabajadores, estamos en los campos, en todo. Debería haber una nueva aministía para todos esos indocumentados que trabajan duro por su familia", dijo Loza en español sin traducirlo al inglés como las otras concursantes.

Miss Latina Wine Country has a winner. Her name is Edith Loza. She is originally from Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico and was crowned in the events room at the Granton Casino in Rohnert Park this past Sunday.
In addition to her physical beauty and significant presence on the runway while wearing a ‘fantasy dress,’ bathing suit and the traditional evening gown, Loza perhaps obtained the crown for her response to a question she was asked regarding the current situation of undocumented immigrants in the United States.
“This question touches my heart because half of my family is undocumented […] Latinos are the most hardworking employees, we are on the fields, in everything. There should be an immigration amnesty for all those who are undocumented and work hard for their family,” said Loza in Spanish without translating it to English like most other participants.
